About

Our Team

Storytime With Santa, the UK’s original experience, was created in 2010 and is now celebrating its fifteenth year. This wonderful show seen by thousands of families will bring the magic of Christmas alive as children will be captivated by traditional and modern stories as well as plenty of festive songs to join in with, in what promises to be a fun experience for the whole family.

Have you been good this year and made it onto Santa’s nice list? Every child will have the opportunity to talk to Santa and give him their Christmas wishes, and will also receive a festive gift. To make sure the whole family can enjoy the experience, for every child ticket purchased up to 2 adults can come along absolutely FREE, so be sure to bring your cameras as there will be plenty of photo opportunities.

Saul Murphy

Producer, Santa Claus

Saul Murphy has been part of the Christmas entertainment industry since 2004, bringing festive joy to families across the UK. Alongside Richard Pitt, he co-created Storytime with Santa, a magical event that combines the wonder of a traditional grotto with the excitement of live theatre.

With a background in film, television, and theatre, Saul has worked as a filmmaker, producer, and production assistant on a wide range of creative projects. His experience spans documentaries, short films, and major television productions, reflecting his passion for storytelling in all its forms.

A trained actor and dancer, Saul brings theatrical flair and heartfelt authenticity to every performance. He believes that reading together as a family not only nurtures imagination and development in children but also strengthens family bonds, a philosophy at the heart of Storytime with Santa.

Richard Pitt

Santa Claus

Richard Pitt began his training at the Wallasey School of Ballet and Wirral Metropolitan College. Early in his career, he toured the UK with the Theatre in Education company Active Drama before taking on a variety of challenging roles in theatres across Liverpool. His work has also taken him abroad, performing as a dancer in Spain and later joining the Oompah Comedy Cabaret Show with The Amazing Bavarian Stompers.

Richard’s greatest passion, however, is bringing Santa Claus to life,  a role he has cherished since 2005 and first played at age 27. Over the years, he has appeared as Santa for thousands of families. As a father of three, he understands the power of storytelling and the importance of nurturing children’s imaginations through reading.
